INFA RIOT - KIDS OF THE 80'S - ORIGINAL SEALED ALBUM
Infa Riot were formed in 1980 in Wood Green, North London, by vocalist Lee Wilson and guitarist Barry D'Amery.
They played their first gig as supporting act for The Angelic Upstarts in the Lordship Pub, Wood Green.
Their fourth ever gig was reviewed in Sounds magazine by "Mensi" of the Upstarts who was an avid supporter of the band, two Infa Riot tracks were later issued on the legendary Strength Through Oi! compilation in 1981 and their classic song Each Dawn I die was issued on Carry on Oi later in the year.
Their first single Kids of the '80's was released in September 1981. The single peaked at number 2 at the then important Indie Charts.
Infa Riot's debut album Still Out of Order spent four weeks in the actual UK Albums Chart reaching number 42, not bad for a band that the press almost totally ignored.
In 1984 Infa Riot changed their name to the less controversial "The Infas" and released their brilliant second album Sound & Fury.
The Infas played their last gig in November 85. It was recorded and released in the Live and Loud!! series by Link Records, the original band may now be gone but they are fondly remembered and rightly so.
Grab this album it's crammed with long lost early 80's Street Punk Classics...!
