THE VIBRATORS - LIVE - ORIGINAL FM REVOLVER RECORDS 1986 ALBUM.
Fantastic original live album from one of the most underrated and long lasting punk band's of all time.
The Vibrators were founded by Ian 'Knox' Carnochan, bassist Pat Collier, guitarist John Ellis, and drummer John 'Eddie' Edwards.
They first came to public notice at the famous 100 Club in Oxford Street when they backed Chris Spedding in 1976, then on Spedding's recommendation, Mickie Most signed them to his label RAK Records, he also produced their first single, "We Vibrate".
The Vibrators just seem to have always been around, they recorded sessions for John Peel at Radio 1 as far back as October 1976.
They were also one of the pioneering punk bands that played at London's famous Roxy Club in Covent Garden when they headlined there in January 1977.
They got called many things in the music press and a lot of the comments were unfair but despite all that their fans have stood by them and the Vibrators went on to record some true punk classics.
They also provided the monica for another fine punk band Stiff Little Fingers so f**k the press not many other punk bands have managed to achieve half what the Vibrators have.
Fantastic original FM Records issue album from 1986 and in excellent overall condition considering its age, crammed with live fan faves AUTOMATIC LOVER, AMPHETAMINE BLUE, BABY BABY, WHIPS AND FURS and the classic TROOPS OF TOMORROW which The Exploited covered and used as the title of their second album, this was acquired within a large private punk collection I bought recently, lots more to list in the coming months so keep checking my listings.
The vinyl doesn't look overplayed and has retained a good sheen, the sleeve has very light storage wear along the edges but it remains a very good strong copy.
Grab it while you have the chance.
Sold with no reserve.
