GENERATION X - DEBUT ALBUM U.S.A IMPORT - DIFFERENT TRACKS - ALBUM.

Fantastic Debut album from Generation X one of the best bands to pick up on the early punk DIY ethic and run with it, a vastly underated band in my opinion.

Led by Billy Idol one of the Bromley Contingent of early Sex Pistols fans who realised his own ideas, did his own thing and went his own way, along with Tony James they created an almost pop / rock equivalent of the Sex Pistols.

Generation X were a fantastic band and although their recorded legacy isn't huge their fondly remembered for their fantastic live shows which have now taken on almost legendary status, this classic album will take you back to a time when music really did matter and young punks thought that maybe they could change their world.

A fantastic Generation X import album, this was vastly different to its UK counterpart.

Firstly three tracks are dropped from the UK issue - INVISIBLE MAN - LISTEN - TOO PERSONAL.

Instead you get four replacement tracks added YOUR GENERATION - WILD DUB - WILD YOUTH - GIMME SOME TRUTH.

Now the interesting bit not only is this version a new dynamic on the listening pleasure but the version of 'Gimme Some Truth' is the long lost Studio version, this version was originally to be used as the flip side to King Rocker but mistakenly a John Peel session version was issued on the single, unfortunately for fans all greatest hits collections and reissues have not rectified this error.

The version on this album is the ultimate 'long lost' Generation X track, it's vastly different to the version your used to hearing and vastly superior in every way, lots more drums and guitars and a great lead vocal from Billy, if you have never heard this version then "BUY THIS ALBUM".

Sleeve is good for age with minimal storage wear, the record is in excellent condition the pictures of the record are to show what you are bidding for.

NOTE - This is now long deleted and getting quite hard to find, so don't miss out, acquired within a large private punk collection I bought recently, lots more to list in the coming months so keep checking my listings.

An essential album that gives any decent rock record a run for it's money it's gotta be a part of any decent Generation X or punk rock record collection, a hard to find U.S.A import copy to get your grubby little punk mitt's on.

Low start considering rarity value and no reserve.
