1977 LP Record Tarika Blue CHIAROSCURO CR-164 

This LP is from a Nashville, TN area DJ's collection that we have in climate controlled storage and have been selling out for a couple of years..he was known to collect a record, commit it to CD or hard drive and then store it away otherwise unplayed..

(featuring the incredible James Mason on guitar but also

Phil Clendeninn on Arp Odyssey synthesizer & pianos, Barry Coleman on Bass, Kevin Atkins on drums, Ryo Kawasaki on Guitar & Justo Almario on soprano sax) 
This legendary line up backs up the inspired vocals of Irene Datcher & Dolores Smith...

The guys (and gals) come together to hit the kind of groove that Cissy Houston hit with Herbie Mann's outfit in gorgeous soaring harmonies interweaving & coming together with instinctive musical backing that sends you right up into the stars, on every single song!!
And James Mason's incendiary guitar playing makes you think that Jimi Hendrix himself has emerged from the great beyond, for just one more final encore!!  A true delight to listen to, from front to back!!!!

Both LP sides have been 100% PLAY TESTED (now five times each side, i just couldn't stop) with our Technics SL 1200 with (1 year old) Ortofon 2m Silver Cartridge for solid VG++/EX




Side #2 plays effectively like new with (5) of the lightest audible clicks at the lead in with (a total of 13 ticks) of the lightest audible sort for this side..that number varied slightly with each play, but close..
Side #1 sounds about as good: I noted either 22, 23 or 25 of the lightest audible ticks, depending upon which time I played the record..
a fresh application of LP#9 to the stylus really makes this LP sound just about like new however..
Even the dead wax shows hardly a crackle at all!  
Sounds about like it was freshly removed from the shrink really... 
Of course, the music has crystalline clarity with no hiss, no staticy sound or no back ground noise. 
By the spindles, this album appears to have been played maybe 10 to 30 times.. Visually, there are no marks, ticks or paper scuffs to the vinyl to speak of....



No annoying noise shadowing the vocals or sound portions, typical of an LP this age..
I will never list an album on eBay which has persistent back ground noise or hiss because I believe this utterly destroys the true enjoyment of ANY LP record!!



The condition of the cover is clearly shown...has a tape edge marker.....Also (2) 2 1/2" seam splits at the corner with the "Tarika" tape... 

The worst flaws are all shown..


This is (really) the one you were looking for...
