VICE SQUAD - SHOT AWAY - GERMAN IMPORT VINYL ALBUM - REISSUE.

Fantastic and vastly underated album from one of the most exciting punk band's of all time.

Vice Squad just didn't care, in true punk style they crashed out of the squats of Bristol as a raw and untamed beast, the original band was formed from the ashes of two local punk bands, The Contingent and the TV Brakes.

The main songwriter and vocalist Beki Bondage (Rebecca Bond) was a founding member of the band, although there was a period of time when the band had a different vocalist.

In 82 they embarked on a tour of the United States and Canada, upon returning Bondage announced that she was leaving the band and went on to front her own band Ligotage. 

Vice Squad however carried on, replacing Bondage with new singer Lia' who was previously known as Jools and had been the singer for local band 'Affairs of the Heart'.

This new line-up, also included the band's manager Mark "Sooty" Byrne on second guitar, after Bonds departure this newly energised band recorded the album 'Shot Away'.

At last this underated album gets a much needed reissue, although Bond was to return with a reformed Vice Squad in 97 Shot Away still remains a firm fan favourite, one listen and you will understand why.

Sealed German import album, colour unknown, acquired within a large private punk collection I bought recently, lots more to list in the coming months so keep checking my listings.
