ANTI - PASTI - THE PUNK SINGLES - ORIGINAL SEALED COLOURED VINYL ALBUM.

Anti-Pasti were formed in 1980 in Derby.

They played many gigs in and around the Derbyshire area, most notably The Cosmo Club and The Ajanta and soon built up a large local following supporting bands such as The Clash and the U.K. Subs.

Eventually the group signed to Rondelet Records and issued their legendary "Four Sore Points EP" followed closely by "Let Them Free" in January 1981.

Later that year, they released their debut album, The Last Call, which reached the Top 40 in the UK Album Charts.

Their ever growing profile was confirmed with a third single, "Six Guns", at the end of the year and a joint venture with The Exploited, the Don't Let 'Em Grind You Down E.P., which featured the tracks "Ain't Got Me" and "Another Dead Soldier", both recorded as part of The Wragby Studio Session Tapes in 1980.

1981 saw the band take part in the infamous "Apocalypse Now" tour with fellow punk bands The Exploited, Discharge, Vice Squad, Chron Gen and The Anti Nowhere League.

Winter 1981 saw them tour America and Canada performing with the Dead Kennedys and Flipper, by the time of their second album though they just seemed to lose their momentum before eventually fading from the scene they played a major part in creating.

I remember buying all their singles when they came out and simply played them to death, so this much needed singles collection is a welcome release, Anti-Pasti were a critical band of the times and although they may now be gone they are fondly remembered and rightly so.

Grab this Anti-Pasti singles album it's crammed with long lost early 80's Street Punk Classics...!
