The Beatles - Yesterday and Today - Mono T 2553 2nd State Butcher Cover
This is a rare vinyl record of The Beatles "Yesterday and Today" released in 1966 by Capitol Records. It features Lennon, McCartney, Harrison & Starr as the writers of all of the songs except Act Naturally which was written by John Russell and Voni Morrison., and the vinyl matrix number is 2553. The record comes in a cardboard sleeve and has high-fidelity sound quality at 33 RPM. The album is in good condition, with the original inner sleeve and cardboard cover. Most importantly, this is a "Second State" Butcher cover.
Instruments used include guitar, piano, bass guitar, electric guitar, voice, and drums and percussion. It falls under the rock 'n' roll genre and is a rare collector's item for Beatle enthusiasts.
The name "Peterson" is written in ink on the back cover. Additionally, the record has visible scratches and, at times, you can hear the static they generate. The LP was tested/played using a Denon turntable. It's Mono which lacks the powerful sound that a stereo version would have. Of course, back when I was young, it didn't matter! Heck, it was the Beatles!
Moreover, the front cover looks to have some sort of stain on the left side. The same type of stain is on the back but not as pronounced.
One last thing, I state the record, jacket, sleeve are in "good" condition. Please don't assume that "good" means "near mint" because it isn't anywhere close to that grade. It is, however, the Beatles 2nd State Butcher cover. You can clearly see Ringo's turtleneck sweater through the cover. After all, that's what the Butcher 2nd state is all about.
Thanks for stopping by.
