WELCOME AGAIN TO MY CONTINUING RECORD COLLECTION CLEAROUT. ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE BOTH VISUALLY AND AURALLY GRADED AND THESE COME WITH A FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY JUST LET ME KNOW.
I HAVE DECIDED THAT IT'S TIME TO SELL MY BELOVED 78 RPM COLLECTION. IT COVERS MANY LABELS AND GENRES FROM THE LATE 40s UP TO 1959 WHEN VINYL SINGLES WERE OUTSELLING SHELLAC DISCS IN HUGE QUANTITIES SO I HAVE SOME QUITE RARE ITEMS
POSTING THESE CAN BE QUITE TRICKY DUE TO THEIR DELICATE NATURE BUT I WILL BE USING DEEP, STRONG BOXES WITH STIFF CARD AND PLENTY OF PACKING PEANUTS TO MAKE SURE THEY GET TO YOU IN ONE PIECE. PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THE POSTAGE COST IS NOT JUST WHAT ROYAL MAIL CHARGE ME BUT ALSO THE COST OF ALL THE PACKING MATERIALS IN NEED TO BUY. I ALWAYS TRY TO KEEP POSTAGE COSTS TO A MINIMUM. POSTAGE DISCOUNTS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES. IF YOU WISH TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL INVOICE YOU ACCORDINGLY.
POSTAGE WILL BE £5.25 FOR THE FIRST RECORD WITH DISCOUNTS FOR LARGER ORDERS. DUE TO RECENT POSTAL LOSSES EVERYTHING WILL NOW BE SENT BY SIGNED FOR DELIVERY.
CONDITION WISE, MOST OF THESE ARE IN DECENT CONDITION WITH A LOT LOOKING EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT (RARE FOR SHELLAC DISCS). BECAUSE OF THE DEEP CUT NATURE OF THE GROOVES THE PLAYBACK QUALITY TENDS TO BE UNAFFECTED BY LIGHT SCRATCHES AND MARKS. I TRY TO USE THE ORIGINAL COMPANY SLEEVES BUT SOMETIMES THEY ARE TOO DAMAGED SO I HAVE TO REPLACE THEM. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.
IN ORDER TO SPEED UP THE LISTINGS I WILL KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM BUT, AS ALWAYS, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS , PLEASE ASK
TITLE: SKINNY MINNIE / HOW MANY
YEAR: 1958
CAT NO: 05742
CONDITION VISUAL (A/B SIDE): NM/EX+
LABEL MARKS: NONE
OTHER INFO: A SUPERB COPY OF THIS COLLECTABLE 78 RPM DISC. THIS COPY IS IN A FANTASTIC EX+/NEAR MINT CONDITION SHOWING NO SCRATCHES, SCUFFS AND JUST A COUPLE OF FAINT SURFACE MARKS ON THE 'B' SIDE OTHERWISE IT WOULD BE NM. SHELLAC RETAINS A LOVELY BLACK LUSTRE WITH NO GROOVEWEAR. PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT WITH NO POPS OR CLICKS. THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN SUCH OUTSTANDING CONDITION AS MOST OF THESE ROCK AND ROLL 78s WERE HANDLED BADLY AND PLAYED TO DEATH ON LOW QUALITY EQUIPMENT WITH HEAVY PICK UPS RESULTING IN THEM BEING SCRATCHED AND PLAY WORN. THIS COPY HAS BEEN VERY WELL CARED FOR AND LOOKS HARDLY PLAYED. MUCH EASIER TO FIND AS A 45RPM AND A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION.
