VICE SQUAD - LIVE AND LOUD - ORIGINAL LINK RECORDS ISSUE ALBUM.
Vice Squad were originals, in true punk style they crashed out of the squats of Bristol as a raw and untamed beast, the original band was formed from the ashes of two local punk bands, The Contingent and the TV Brakes.
The main songwriter and vocalist Beki Bondage (Rebecca Bond) was a founding member of the band, although there was a brief period of time when the band had a different vocalist and they recorded the album Shot Away.
In 1982 vice squad embarked on a gruelling tour of the United States and Canada, upon returning Bondage announced that she was leaving the band and went on to front her own band Ligotage.
This classic Link Records album captures Vice Squad at their peak when they were a real creative force, Beki's songwriting during the early 80's was very strong and focused and this is a blistering set bolstered by a fantastic cover of the Sex Pistols E.M.I, a subtle nod to the old guard for clearing the way ahead.
This is a fantastic find, this is the U.K. issue sold as an export and then returned to the U.K., it's an essential part of the continuing story of Becki Bondage and Vice Squad - Stand Strong, Stand Proud.
The sleeve has some light storage wear to the edges but not excessive and the vinyl looks great visually so should play with no problems, quite a hard album to find now so don't miss it.
Lots more to list in the coming months so keep checking my listings.
