THE LURKERS - LIVE AT THE QUEENS HOTEL - SEALED ALBUM.

Fantastic historic live album from one of the most underrated and well loved punk band's of all time.

The Lurkers formed late in 1976, the original line-up consisting of Pete Stride on guitar, Pete "Manic Esso" Haynes on drums, Pete "Plug" Edwards on vocals and Nigel Moore on bass.

The Lurkers played their first gig at Uxbridge Technical College in December 76 supporting Screaming Lord Sutch to an audience of just 10.

Despite this low key start, they recorded sessions for John Peel at Radio 1 and they were also one of the pioneering punk bands that played at London's famous Roxy Club in Covent Garden.

Despite an amazing debut single 'Shadow' the music press surprisingly derided them as bandwagon jumpers, despite that untrue jibe their fans stood by them and the Lurkers went on to record some true punk classics.

This quality live vinyl offering from the band is aimed at and released especially for those very fans who had been behind them from the start.

This long lost classic discovered on an old cassette tape has been digitally remastered and released with input and permission from the band, this snapshot from 1977 really takes you back and confirms that the Lurkers were definitely one of the 70's top punk bands.

Lots more to list in the coming months so keep checking my listings.
