The Amsterdam indie rock quartet Loupe has the gift of sounding haunted and hypnotic at the same time. Over a weave of rousing harmonies, flowing rhythms and expressive vocal lines, singer Julia explores themes of young adulthood, big city life and human relationships. There are also plenty of explorations in terms of sound; there was room for playful electronic experiments during the recordings.
