THE CHIPMUNKS

There are a lot of people who may wonder if Alvin has perhaps become real big-headed since he became a star so many years ago in 1958. This is definitely not so. Of course, he has had great personal success in the ensuing years, including an outstanding TV series in the States. He's always very generous about the contribution made to his shows by Simon and Theodore and also, let's face acts, he is jolly kind in the way he has allowed David Seville to get in on the act. After all, before Alvin, Mr Seville just wrote and sang hit songs!

One of the most endearing qualities about Alvin is the way he helps young and unknown writers and artists. When you come to listen to this album, you will realise that most of the songs were written by two lads from an English town called Liverpool. Their names are Lennon and McCartney. These lads, who were never able to afford a haircut, wrote the songs and, so as not to embarrass them, Alvin, Simon and Theodore let their hair grow too. The songs were originally sung by the Beatles - John (Lennon), Paul (McCartney), plus George and Ringo, who battled hard for success until this Chipmunks album came out, now everybody seems to have heard of them!!!!

So here you have it, all the songs you want to hear, sung by the greatest, Alvin... (Oh dear! -His "Beatle wig" has fallen off again!) 'J'

The vinyl is in exceptional collectible condition with no scratches or scuffs. The cover shows age wear. The interior sleeve is included.
