Hello.

Welcome to our listing for an original copy of Led Zeppelin II.

We have been dealing in records for many years and we pride ourselves on our honest and fair grading.

Please purchase with confidence.

So, let’s get to it….

This listing is for a 1st press Led Zeppelin II

On original plum Atlantic label.

This label features ‘The Lemon Song’ – a claim of plagiarism was levelled at Led Zeppelin and this song had to be renamed as ‘Killing Floor’ and credited to Chester Burnett (aka ‘Howling Wolf’)

The label states ‘Copyright control’ whereas the later pressings note the copyright information as Warner Bros and Jewel Music.

Catalogue No: 588198

Matrix No:

A/2 stampers: 1224

B/2 stampers: 1231

Vinyl Condition: VG+

A decent copy.

Overall a good clean payable surface to both side. Still has a fairly glossy sheen in the light.

Has hairlines to both sides and has a handful of surface marks

Side 1 has two small marks with slight feel but not a deep penetrating mark in both track one and track two but plays through fine on our system. Just slight background noise for a couple of rotations on the deck.

And another mark that’s spans track one and track two on side two but only has a feel in track two.

Again no issues with play on our system. No skipping.

Labels are both in good order.

A little foxing and some spindle marking/ light wear but good colour and no damage.

Inner sleeve is good. Some discolouration to edges and a split along the base. Abit of creasing but straight overall.

Sleeve condition: VG

A good straight clean sleeve. Minimal creasing and wear.

Some creasing to spine edge but other than that all good.

Edges have wear, spine is a little worn and so not readable. Can just make out catalogue no.

The base has some wear and a split along the centres approx 7cm wide and a small one to edge of n opening side.

Colour is good. The artwork and surfaces to front back and inner are all good. No nasty marks/ stains. A little foxing and surface wear with just a small couple nicks to area on rear sleeve. Some ring wear.

All in all a nice 1st press.

A perfectly playable and presentable copy that shows signs of use/ age.

Please see pictures.

Questions always welcomed.

Thanks for stopping by.

We send all record signed for / special delivery and post all records with stiffener in mailers and remove the LP from the sleeve.
