1954 Les Paul and His Trio Jazz Guitar M- EP - Hawaiian Paradise Vol 1
Les Paul and His Trio - Hawaiian Paradise Vol 1 (Decca ED 2081). This EP features 4 cuts from the LP first issued in 1946. The trio was formed in 1937 by Les Paul, with singer/rhythm guitarist Jim Atkins (older half-brother of guitarist Chet Atkins) and bassist/percussionist Ernie "Darius" Newton. They left Chicago for New York in 1938, landing a featured spot with Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians radio show. Cuts on this EP include: Hawaiian Paradise, My Isle of Golden Dreams, Song of The Islands (Na Lei O Hawaii), and Sweet Leilani. Record is in M- condition (there is a date written very lightly - I can barely see it - on one label (see scan.) Cover is in strong VG+ condition
