In 1969, former key members of The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and The Hollies splintered off to form their own trio. Few could have imagined the gossamer vocal blend that would become the trademark of supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Stephen Stills expanded upon the progressive folk-rock sound that he'd pioneered with Buffalo Springfield. Graham Nash added an accessible pop sensibility honed in the Hollies, and David Crosby, brought the edgy sensitivity that characterized his days with the Byrds.

This album deserves to be called a classic. The vocals are warm and full with rich, complementary harmonies. Tasteful backing augments the superb compositions. Every song is masterfully crafted and performed, and stands as some of the finest work its three principals would ever produce.

Notes: Neither side has ring wear, writing, spindle wear, or tape. Black italic capital A, black pinwheel, ATLANTIC text on red, green, pink, and yellow inside black outlined rectangle on green top half. White stripe across spindle hole in center. Text is black on red bottom half.

SLEEVE GRADE: EX
Notes: Non-original brand-new plain white paper with rounded corners and a circle cut in the center of both sides to display the label.

INSERT GRADE: VG+
Notes: Plain white 23.5”x11.75” (folded in half) matte paper with b&w artwork running horizontally across the top and complete lyrics and liner notes at bottom (black text on white). Reverse side is blank.

JACKET GRADE: VG
Notes: Matte finish. Visible ring wear, no writing, no stains, no marks. Edges, corners, spine (readable) lightly worn. (See my original scan.) Matte finish gatefold has two-panel full-color photo of CS&N.

Note: I haven't cleaned this 47-year-old vinyl record because everybody seems to prefer their own methods. I'll leave the cleaning up to the buyer. Also, I'm not a professional vinyl seller or buyer. This comes from my own collection. Bought at Books, Strings & Things in downtown Blacksburg VA.
