Side 1. Shina Williams & His African Percussionists - Agboju LogunSide 2 - Track 1. Bongi Makeba - Don't Do ItSide 2 - Track 2. Black Soul - Mangous Ye (12" disco version)

Already on their sixth collection of super-rare Afro gems, Supafrico go from strength to strength. Here we're treated to cuts that fly us from Nigeria to South Africa to Senegal. First up Shina Williams and his effortlessly funky disco groove that sounds like it came straight out of 76 but actually came as late as 1984. Miriam Makeba's daughter Bongi provides the highlight with "Don't Do It"; with emphatic dominant vocals and a tight walloping wah-wah riff, there's a strong whiff of Grace Jones about it. Black Soul's "Mangous Ye" completes the set with a beautiful rendition mixed by disco don Tom Moulton. Superb.
