Up for sale is a lot of 50 *different* R&B/Soul/Funk/Disco/Boogie/Motown records of various styles from the 1960's, 70's & 80's. No repeat titles! Most are original presses with no bar codes (if they are pre-80's titles) and there are a good number of LP's that were mastered at Sterling Sound, Kendun and other high quality mastering houses that bear the original "Sterling" or "Kendun" stampers in the dead wax, which many collectors find desirable due to their superior sound over later repressings. Some LP's have special printed inner sleeves and/or an insert, while other albums have generic record label inner sleeves and some have no inner sleeves at all. A good number of these albums have been play tested, while others have not. All titles have been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty Mini-Pro record cleaning machine as a courtesy.
I was planning on listing many of these titles individually, however my old lady just got her master of social work degree last week and there aren't many jobs in Cleveland open in her specific area of specialization so we will probably be having to move sooner than later. I have determined that I need to thin my back stock vinyl down from 3000+ pieces to under 1000 as soon as possible, as that is far more manageable to pack up and transport should we in fact have to make a move in the summer. So keep checking back, as I will be offering quite a few high quality lots at great prices over the coming months!
This is a great lot for someone with a love of classic R&B + Soul from the 60's thru the 80's, someone just starting their record collection, or looking to fill in some holes in their existing collection, for people interested in having classic R&B vinyl on hand for harvesting of samples and breaks, or even for folks to buy and flip for a profit at flea markets and such.
While we hate to bar anybody from bidding based on their location, shipping these records outside the USA will cost a decent amount of money.
