!!!AN ALL ORIGINAL 1968 FIRST PRESS STEREO!!!

This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

VG. GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl. The discs have many light visible marks to them, BUT after playing her through, I only found background noise/pops & crackles throughout, BUT does not skip or stick.
(Noticed a 'chh' for around 20 revolutions on Revolutions-side 4)

Would benefit from a professional clean.

Wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction

They are far from Mint but equally far from Trashed!!
(They knew how to make proper vinyl-to withstand wild parties-back then)


The labels: VG+. All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple. Side 3 has a circular ring to the label-as can be seen in the detailed photos provided.
Only light spindle marks and light hole wear to each label.
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

NO "EMI Recording" to sides 1 & 2. With sides 3 & 4 having the text, but without the brackets.

The Cover: VG. NUMBERED: 0446505 It is the first run TOP loading STEREO with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.
The spine remains strong, with it being a little squashed. There is a small split to the right side of the gatefold-unusual as I don't usually see them here..Approx 4cm...really nothing at all to worry about.

Has the printing of Stereo to the back top right.

There are only a few small areas of spidering to the laminate, and a few very light indentations.
There is some residue where cellotape has been used to stick something on the cover, but long since removed.
Rubbing to the corners.
(Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is rather nice).

OVERALL VERY NICE INDEED

Inners: VG+. ORIGINAL BLACK INNERS....Both have small tears to their windows and one has a small split to the side of around 8cm...Nothing to worry about.
All original and solid.

Poster: EX...Superbly well looked after. There are small pin holes to the corners, but NO SPLITS OR TEARS.
All original and in excellent condition.
