Three years on from their last album Smoking Heaven, this latest from the North London ingenues sees them taking their rootsy and vibrant art and refining it in ways hitherto unexpected, yet all the while maintaining a rare atmosphere part mid-twentieth century sass and part timeless cinematic glamour. Setting up shop in a derelict Indian restaurant in Camden Town with the production and arrangement help of former Clash legend Mick Jones, the band struck on a diverse and irresistible collection of songs that veer between jump-blues, soul and disco without sacrificing a dash of their unmistakable spirit.
