Following the massively successful re-release of "The Nine" earlier this year, Vegas explores the BCUK vaults once again for more formative fire-ups from one of the UK's most influential and revered drum & bass outfits. Released in 1999, "The Fear" EP set the foundations for their agenda-setting debut album Digital Nation. "The Fear" wears its jungle influences on its sleeve with passion. Icy pads and deep space echoes before the paranoid drop, it sums up the sound of the entire 90s taking in both Detroit, Berlin and London as it does so. "4 Days" is more direct and aggressive thanks to its relentless bassline that scuffs up and down the spectrum with chainsaw menace. Both have stood the test of time with low-end immaculation.
