DESCRIPTION

"In 1964 a group of blues researchers, led by Canned Heat guitarist Alan Wilson, discovered Son House living unassumedly in upstate New York. A year later found him traversing the country on the college concert and coffee house circuit, even playing a concert at Carnegie Hall. In that same year Columbia Records A&R giant and producer John Hammond brought Son House to his first real recording studio. This album features nine extended offerings, in their original lengths. Alan Wilson joins House playing guitar and harmonica. This Stereo pressing is a 180 Gram version of that original recording session." - VVV
