The Beatles
Let It Be----Box Set---
PXS 1
Well folks here's a COMPLETE Let It Be Box
This was the Beatles' 13th and final offical album release. Released on the 8th of May 1970, it reached the number 1 slot just over two weeks later and stayed there for 3 weeks. It was also, sadly, to prompt the Beatles' last live performance on top of the Apple Building in London on the 30th of January 1969.
An interesting little bit about this album is the cover was originally intended to be the cover that was used for the Beatles' compilation in 1973 for their 'Red' and 'Blue' album.
Even though recording for the album was finished by the end of May '69, it wasn't until March 1970, when Phil Spector was brought in, that it finally got to be released.
So, here follows the details of this little beauty:
Catalogue number: PXS 1

Side 1: YEX 773-2U

EX-! Yep, that good! It has just a couple of light faint hairline marks-certainly NOTHING to detract from playback-
Either a light professional clean or just a rub with an anti-static cloth will reduce the background noise!!
GORGEOUS
I have just listened to the whole album and found just faint and occasional background noise.
Labels: EX. Original DARK GREEN 1st pressing labels. Lovely and clean. Barely any hole wear to mention...quite a few light & whispy spindle marks, visible when angled to the light-really absolutley nothing to worry about at all.
Record Sleeve: EX. Glorious glossy sheen to both the front and back. Only a couple of small cresents of spidering areas to the whole album cover!!! With only a few incredibly small finger spiders from the spine!!
THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM
*Please see my feedback for fair grading and happy customers*
The corners are just gently rubbed and very lightly knocked. The spine remains sharp and strong after all these years.
The spine is superbly clear and flat...Just a tiny 5mm patch of rubbing-certainly not all the way through.
The Apple to the back is RED-showing it to be the very first pressing
!Not often at all you get to see these up for sale!
AND CERTAINLY NOT OFTEN THEY COME UP IN THIS WONDERFUL CONDITION.
Record Inner: EX+. Original die-cut white inner. No writing...Just a few light creases...That is it!
"Patent No. 1,125,555,"
"Made Great Britian"
Text to one side.
Gorgeous Example.
STILL BRIGHT WHITE
(Included is a removeable anti-static lining-which has certainly done her job by looking after this wonderful slab of vinyl!)
THE BOX SET IS ALL ORIGINAL PIECES AND NOT LATER REPRODUCTIONS!
Outer Cover: VG(+). When taking the inner tray out of the outer cover, the cover still keeps it's shape-this is how I have photographed her. Now that's a good solid example! (most I have seen collapse when the inner tray support has been taken away).
UNCRUSHED
To the front the pictures are lovely and clear-gorgeous sheen to the fully laminated outer cover.
Glorious, unfaded pictures with an overall luster to the laminated outer cover.
One bottom corner does have a small split of around 1cm-that is all. There is some rubbing to each of the other corners, but no splits.
There is some spidering to the laminated front and back cover-but nothing severe-please see the detailed images provided.
NO WRITING
The back of the outer cover has the credit of..
"Designed By John Kosh Photographs by Ethan A Russell Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Limited (Patents Pending)" to the bottom
***A VERY NICE AND COLLECTABLE COPY***
(AGAIN: PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES-I HAVE UPLOADED A LOAD OF HIGH DETALIED IMAGES)
Inner Tray: G++. All ORIGINAL! There is some wear to the flip-over inner, with light creasing and some light rubbing to the corners.
As you can see by the images provided-one of the flip overs has a tear and each of the corners are split-but nothing bad when put back together.
Overall a very nice piece and, yes, ORIGINAL-not swapped-out or replaced.
AGAIN-VERY CRITICAL HERE!
The book housing is present, but also carries some wear with some splits to 2 of the corners, but still attached (just) to the other 2 :)
**ALL ORIGINAL PIECE AND NOT SWAPPED OUT OR A REPLICA**
The Book: VG! Brilliantly shiny cover WITHOUT crescents of spidering!!!
She is still solid.
However, saying that-the spines has had a repair of tape to the 1st page inside as the old original glue appears to have dried out-which was a typical failure for the production of this book and it's longevity.
So some of the pages are loose.
Gloriously glossy pictures with all their original color.
NO WRITING
ALL ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE
OVERALL:
An ORIGINAL and well looked after rare boxset from THE BEATLES.
ALL COMPLETE
ALL ORIGINAL
Certainly one for the serious collector.
SOUNDS GREAT TOO
