Having lined the first release on Bleed under his Volte Face alias, label founder Casper Clark teams up with that man Daniel Avery for their debut outing together as Rote, which comes backed with some fine remixes. Streamlined, hard-hitting techno aimed at questioning the foundational safety of nightclubs appears to be the order of the day for Avery and Clark as Rote, with two untitled tracks that wouldn't sound out of place on a Semantica record. Coincidentally, Semantica boss Svreca pops up on remix duty, turning "Rote 2" into a hellishly satisfying dark techno stomper. Those looking for a more extra-terrestrial sound will be more than satisfied with DJ Nobu's preceding take on "Rote 1". More Rote please.
