it is a used record..made in the Uk with a rare and classic picture sleeve ...with two mixes of a song that it was CRIMINAL, i say again CRIMINAL not to include on the cd box set...what the hell??..the short version is good, the 9 minute version is priceless gothic rock, with Cocteau Twins Liz singing and Robin playing guitar, as well as two members of Modern English, and Colourbox Cindytalk..also Song To The Siren..This Mortal Coil is the brainchild of 4AD's president, Ivo Watts. It's not really a band, it's a way for Watts to explore different musical territory and cover his favorite artists, including Syd Barrett, Alex Chilton, Talking Heads, Tim Buckley, and Gene Clark. Over the years, the lineup has featured various stars from the record label's roster including Kim Deal, Tanya Donelly, Heidi Berry, and Robin Guthrie and Elizabeth Fraser from Cocteau Twins. Like most 4AD bands, This Mortal Coil is atmospheric, sometimes dreamy, other times haunting. ..still gets airplay on flashback radio stations...great for collectors and djs...fans of 4ad, AR Kane ,new wave,alternative or retro 80s will like this one...
