This Lp was released on the 10th July 1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 position for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

VG. Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen. There are light marks to both sides BUT after playing her all the way through I found the sound reproduction to be superbly strong! Only light and occasional background noise....After the rather noisy run-ins, the music cracks in with real vigour. :)
DEEP RICH BASS
A gentle professional clean and you've got a great copy.

RARER E J DAY COVER-These were made at a rough ratio of 10:1 in comparison to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers....They needed to meet demand, so farmed some work out to EJ Day!

Shiny front cover...With just a few small fingers and crescents of spidering to the front laminted cover.
SOLID CONDITION!!
Only slightly discoloured white card backing from age...but I do too :)
Good strong corners too.
WONDERFUL EJ Day flipbacks in great condition.

There has been a nibble to the spine, just to the bottom of Beatles-as you can see in the images provided.

Has "Printed and made by E J Day & Co. Ltd. London" lovely and clear to back bottom right corner flipback.
