The debut from this duo, whose members hail from both Australia and Denmark, takes ingredients like R.E.M. style windswept introspection, dustbowl-twanging guitars, kaleidoscopic synth work and motorik propulsion to arrive at a sound that tastefully strikes a balance between the sweepingly epic and the poignantly understated. Ditties like the slow-burning 'Dune Wind' and the New Order-esque charmer 'Positron' are likely to tickle the fancy of those souls who harbour a love for sun-burnished Americana whilst longing for the chilly austerity of kraturock, not to mention fans of The War On Drugs and Tame Impala alike.
