Don't mention the word 'supergroup' if you can help it, but this collaboration between Mazes' Jack Cooper and Veronic Falls' James Hoare works very well as a multiplication sum of sorts, with the strengths of both indie luminaries coming to the fore in service of a sound replete with wry songcraft. a sunny disposition and heavy-lidded Velvets-worship. Yet behind the unassuming facade lurks a band alarmingly keen on cranking their amps and rocking out in time-honoured fashion, and this live effort - released to coincide with their current US tour alongside Woods - delights in following suit. Call this lot 'twee' at your peril.
