ORIGINAL AND ULTRA RARE " THE BEATLES ARRIVE IN AMERICA " 45, COVER AND 8mm FILM SEALED! THIS IS HARRY NILSSON'S VERY FIRST RECORD! VINTAGE 1964 VERY RARE ' THE BEATLES ARRIVE IN AMERICA ' 45 RECORD, HARD COVER AND 8mm FILM SEALED! (Foto-Fi Records.) HOW RARE AND COOL IS THIS ONE FOLKS! THIS IS THE LATE GREAT HARRY NILSSON'S VERY FIRST 45 RECORD! Indeed, today it's an obscure 1964 Beatles novelty record, and the first of many paeans to The Fab Four recorded by a 22 year-old, Harry Nilsson. "Stand Up And Holler" was a quick, "Hey, Bo Diddley" re-write, penned by Nilsson and songwriter John Marascalco (co-author of "Good Golly Miss Molly" and "Rip It Up" among others). It was one of Nilsson's very first 45 releases. And I believe, actually his first preceding his early Crusader, Barry, Tower & RCA recordings. Gander in amazement at just a small example of the horribly exploitative nature of Beatles-related retail releases of the era. "Stand Up And Holler" was packaged with an 8mm film Stand Up and Holler (Film Side) reel of The Beatles' February 7th, 1964 arrival in America - hitting the shelves within 7 to 8 weeks, as there was little time to waste when profits from fickle fads were hanging in the balance. The A-side states "Play This Side With Film" and features two primitive film syncing notes at the beginning, so consumers could play the 45 along with the movie. Yeah, those were the days...technologically speaking. The B-side is the same tune, minus the screaming. girls. What a reflection of the times as you can see, Even Harry was caught up in it and no doubt inspired greatly by the Beatles! ***PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A 4+ " WRAP SEPARATION ON THE LEFT SIDE. ALSO, IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT JUST ABOUT ALL OF THESE (EVERY ONE WE'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED) HAVE SOME DEGREE OF WARPAGE TO THE COVER AND RECORD. THIS ONE INCLUDED.
