Originally released a year ago to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, La Curandera - here re-released owing to popular demand in black vinyl - is a kind of concept-themed compilation of female-focused songs from the enduring and unique Maryland rock troupe, packaged in killer artwork from comic artist Becky Cloonan. Testimony to the monolithic groove, righteous holler and vibrant chemistry that have made Clutch a jewel in hard rock's crown for a near quarter century now , these disparate songs sound made for each other in a package as life-affirming as it is badass.
