One of the very first issues, as most later ones adopted the more standard R 4983 format.

Original Parlophone cover. In excellent condition apart from a small amount of writing in pencil in the top left hand box that was meant for this purpose.

Condition – Record

VG. There are quite a few light marks and scuffs on this record, but they are all quite shallow and, while they may crackle a bit, they do not seriously detract from play. I have just played both sides on a new Audio Technica turntable. Both sides play through with no clicks, just some light crackle. Makes for an authentic sound!

Other factors make this the rarest Beatles single ever -

* Although this was their second single, very few were issued with the red Parlophone label, as the company were changing to the more familiar black label. Most issues, even from 1964, came with the black label.
* Matrix numbers are 7XCE 17217-1N AND 7XCE 17218-1N. These indicated the very first pressing.
* Songwriting credits are for McCartney - Lennon, which was changed for later issues.

A real rarity and a must for any serious Beatles collector.
