This really was the birth of progressive rock! It was the Beatles' 9th Lp and what an imapact it had. and still does have. Released on the 1st of June 1967, the album reached number 1 across the board, staying at number 1 for 23 weeks!! With a total of 148 weeks in the charts!!

 Has the dull sheen and is NON-BANDED.
 Light, visible marks to the vinyl, to both sides.
Just finished listening to the whole album and found there to be some background noise with a couple of pops at the end of side 1, which would be reduced with a professional clean...more evident on the quieter sections.

The main sleeve is unique, on the photo of George Harrison on the inner gatefold sleeve, George can be seen to have a red eye !  Did George at the time of the photo shoot have an eye infection ? Or had he received a black eye some weeks earlier ? Is this a ‘Proof sleeve’ that was discarded by EMI, only for EMI to use the sleeve at the very last moment to get rid of their old Mono stock… intriguing indeed. The ‘red’ area around George’s eye is printed ‘under’ the laminate.
Have a look at your copy and see the difference-I will put an image of another mono copy in the listing, so you can see the difference.
The front cover is still in a solid condition, as is the back cover and the inner picture, however, the spine has a split to the outside of the gatefold and not visible from the inside....Would make this cover a very unusual framed edition of a rare cover.
Only gentle knocks and light rubbing to the corners.
There are small crescents of spidering to the front, with just a few to the back laminate.
