Two years shy of its 30th birthday, Sade's legendary album gets a well-deserved re-release. No collection went without this neo-soul LP during the 80s; soft and smooth enough to appeal to the masses but riding on a raw soul vibe and infectious musicality to appeal to true soul heads, you can still hear why it was such a success to this very day. Obviously the most memorable moments are the likes of "Your Love Is King" and "Smooth Operator", but dig deeper for the incredible horn crescendos of "Frankie's First Affair" and the quivering emotion of "Sally". Beautiful.
