Original US LP released in 1967 on World Pacific Records. Cat:WPS21446. This album has a gatefold sleeve.

Just five years earlier, a spoken-word record featuring an Indian yogi would have been consigned to the novelty racks. In 1967 though, the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi album had the kind of celebrity recognition that only came with some sort of affiliation with the Beatles. The record was produced and engineered by Richard Bock, the co-founder of Pacific Jazz who had been interested in Indian music ever since he met Ravi Shankar in 1957. The LP itself features two side-long recordings by the Maharishi, one with sitar accompaniment from Amiya Das Gupta and one with no accompaniment at all. His platitudes on "Love" and "The Untapped Source of Power That Lies Within" probably work best (for the unconverted) as sleep-aids or far-out drug music; undoubtedly, it's a record that didn't spend much time on turntables during the late '60s.

Record is in Near Mint condition. Cover has some light age marks along top edge and is in Excellent condition..

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
