IDLE RACE (feat. Jeff Lynne) - BBC Radio Sessions 1967-1969 LP
Limited to 500 copies, black vinyl released in beautiful, laminated cover with cool pictures of the band. Idle Race were soft psychedelic rock band led by young Jeff Lynne, inspired by The Beatles, The Move (they were close friends with Roy Wood's band) and late 60s US bands like Moby Grape and Love.
This 58 minute album contains radio sessions (live in studio with some basic overdubs) done by this great British but very underrated band for BBC between October 1967 and September 1969. It also contains some great covers unreleased on any band's studio album!
Most of the tracks were previously released on very rare BBC Transcription Service discs released in late 60's for promotional purposes only.  Remained songs was remastered and denoised - with speed correction on very few off-air material (like usually slowed-down John Peel session).
There is 1 bonus track -  incredibly good, extended 7:30 version of Tyrranosaurus Rex's Debora - probably recorded live for BBC and pressed on acetate.
Their incredibly good BBC stuff was much better performed (punchier, more dynamic) and better produced than their Liberty albums.
The pressing is just fantastic (no noises at all) and the sound quality is perfect.
