NOTE:  The outer clear mylar sleeve has a 2" split at the center of the pocket opening side, no cover damage; this is as it was received. Originally issued in 1973 as a private pressing, some sources list the year as 1971, but is incorrect. This edition issued in 2016 and pressed on 180g vinyl. Includes bonus 7” of two previously unissued (back in the day) demo tracks from 1971 as by One Plus with wraparound picture sleeve along with band bio and photos. Comes housed in a heavy 350g board stock gatefold cover replicating the original cover art. Limited edition pressing of just 300 copies (200 black vinyl and 100 color vinyl copies; this is a black vinyl pressing). Sealed in a heavy clear mylar sleeve with flap with an Anazitisi Records printed clear 2” diameter sticker; disc is packaged outside of jacket (but inside of outer clear mylar sleeve). MEMBERS:  Dogg (acoustic and electric guitars), Stu McDade (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Derek G. Miller (organ, piano, Mellotron), John Taylor (bass), and Paul Robson (vocals). BONUS TRACKS:  Castles and The Heaviest Stone (previously unissued demo tracks from 1971, as by One Plus). DESCRIPTION:  Official vinyl reissue of one of the best progressive albums ever issued from the British Islands. Despite being self-recorded, the 1973 debut by this British progressive quintet is one of the most accomplished albums in its genre, recalling the work of Yes, King Crimson and the Moody Blues, with plenty of imaginative keyboard and guitar work. Cirkus formed in late 1971, from the ashes of bands Lucas Tyson and Moonhead. Hollies' manager Robin Britten took the band under his wings and during 1973, Cirkus recorded their debut, entitled One, with just 1,000 copies being pressed up. It is widely regarded as one of the most musically accomplished private pressings of its kind to emerge out of the UK's then burgeoning progressive music scene of the early 70's. One was produced by veteran of the (early) Beatles and Hollies era, Ron Richards. All the tracks were laid down virtually live and then the overdubs and vocals were added in later sessions. Enhanced string and choir parts, written by Tony Hymas, were also added later, to embellish the Mellotron lines. This reissue include a bonus 7' single with two previously unreleased tracks from 1971; Castles and The Heaviest Stone. Castles was one of…if not the first song ever recorded by Cirkus.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers.

NON-ARRIVAL OF PACKAGES:

 

US Customers:  Please wait at least two weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. All packages are shipped with confirmation/tracking, you will received an automatically generated shipping notice from Ebay e-mail with your tracking number. It has been several years since I’ve had a package not make its US destination, so risk is minimal.

 

INTERNATIONAL Customers:  Please wait at least 3 weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. If security is your concern please have your package registered (see above for fee). I do my best to quickly post packages, but once the package is in the hands of the world’s postal system it is beyond my control. With First-Class Package International Service my only option for investigating the loss of your package is to verify that it left this country to its destination country. Most all delayed/lost packages have disappeared/been delayed after they have reached their destination country. NOTE:  Based on recent buyer feedback, International packages have been moving much slower these days; it is not unusual for a package to take over three weeks for delivery, though normally packages should arrive in 7 to 15 business days.
