PETER HOWELL & JOHN FERDINANDO - ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS

This is a numbered limited edition reissue on the UK Tenth Planet label of a rare UK LP from 1969.  The record was sold locally as a souvenir for attendees of a stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll's novel featuring original music by Peter Howell and John Ferdinando (whose names appeared on the front cover of the original, but are included only on the back of this reissue).  The music on offer is mostly pastoral acoustic folk  interspersed with snippets of live dialogue from the theatrical production, but there is a version of the poem "Jabberwocky" with some electric guitar and (at the end) backwards tapes.  A charmer!
