Limited to 500 copies, black vinyl released in beautiful, laminated cover with cool, early pictures of the band. 56 minute long version.  This superb album contains rare studio/live tracks recorded prior to their debut album, including legendary and privately pressed debut The Soundhouse Tapes EP (plus 'Strange World' outtake), 1979 BBC session, Metal For Muthas tracks, BBC 'Top Of The Pops' 1980 (never released on vinyl), 'Running Free' demo from rare German single and more great stuff. All tracks were carefully remastered and sounds truly great! The vinyl pressing is very loud and clean!

Tracks 1-4 recorded  at Spaceward Studios, Cambridge on 31st December 1978. Tracks 1-3 released privately as 'Soundhouse Tapes' EP on 9th October 1979. Track 4 appeared on 'Best Of The Beast' 4LP box in September 1996. Track 5-7 on Side 1 and track 1 on Side 2 recorded at the BBC Maida Vale Studios, London for 'Friday Rock Show' on 14th November 1979. Originally released on 'Eddie Archives' CD box in November 2002. Tracks 2, 3 on Side 2 recorded at EMI Studios, London on 24th October 1979. Originally released on various artists 'Metal For Muthas' compilation on 15th February 1980. Track 4, 5 on Side 2 recorded at Wessex Studios, London on 25th and 26th November 1979. Track 4 originally released (by mistake) on 'Axe Attack' compilation.Track 5 released as B-side of Running Free' single on 8th February 1980. Both tracks above were also coupled on earliest copies of rare German 'Running Free' single. Track 6 on Side 2 recorded live for BBC 'Top Of The Pops' TV show and broadcasted on 22nd February 1980. Tracks 7 and 8 on Side 2 recorded live at the Marquee, London on 3rd April 1980. Both were released as B-side of 'Sanctuary' single on 23rd May 1980.
