This is known as the Albini album, all it took was one employee of the studio that was in charge of going into the archive to retrieve the recording tapes to make a mistake and grab the unmolested tapes from the original recording, allot of people feel this is the way it was meant to be heard by Steve Albini who was upset that his work had been altered by the studio executives using an EQ before pressing the original in “93 and he had paid the employee to switch the tapes for the 10th anniversary release, a few cases ended up getting shipped out and once it was noticed they recalled the albums but some did end up getting sold and now you have an opportunity to add this one to your collection at a price that’s affordable!

"Gallons Of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through The Strip" is not included in the track list - only mentioned in the credits section of the insert.

This Universal/Geffen release was cut from a different set of master tapes with a significantly different mix of the album (especially "Heart Shaped Box" and "All Apologies").

It is generally accepted that this is Steve Albini's original, unaltered mix of the album.
