Well, this was the start of something HUGE! Here we have the very first pressing of the Beatles' first released album, from the 22nd of March 1963.
It was the first and only time the MONO version was released before the STEREO version.
She entered the charts on the 6th of April and climbed to the top slot-staying there for a huge CONSECUTIVE 30 weeks, from May!...Maybe HUGE is too small a word for it?!

She carries the marks of a few parties ;) However, I have just finished listening to the whole album and found an honest, and clear sound reproduction....As The Beatles wanted YOU to hear them on their first album release!
I noticed a micro skip on 'Misery' as well as a stick on 'Ask Me Why' and a stick at the start of 'There's a Place.'
I am not sure, but maybe a stylus heavier than mine will play over these sections without a problem.
There is VERY LITTLE backgound noise throughout! It really sounds lovely and clear-even the run-ins are lovely and quiet.
Still raw and powerful!
QUALITY VINYL-THEY KNEW HOW TO MAKE THEM BACK THEN :)



The labels:
VG.
The labels are the more unusual and rarer version with the corrected credits. Instead of the first printings of these labels, where around 25,000 were made, with the Dick James credits. These labels are the 2nd print with the corrected Northern Songs credits.....
ONLY 12,000 of these were released before it changed to the more familiar Yellow & Black label

 Songs 1 & 2 on side 1 as well as songs 4 & 6 on side 2 are now correctly creditted to Northern Songs.

There is some light central hole wear to both sides, as well as general rubbing and marks to each label-please see the detailed pictures provided.

The Parlophone Company' edge lower case text.
NO 'Sold In The UK' text.
 NO 'First Published' text,
Small 33 1/3 ....This means this copy is rarer than the 1st pressing as the tooling suggests 25,000 of those were made!

 ORIGINAL Ernest. J. Day cover. She does have some wear-as can be seen in the detailed images provided-Water mark to the back...Sections of the flipbacks missing and some tape residue to the back.
It is the 1st cover with the  Angus McBean to the very bottom right corner, on the front. The front cover remains very bright.
ALL ORIGINAL!! WOULD STILL LOOK GOOD FRAMED.
