Notes
Notes for side A: Tracks from side A are outtakes from the "Cheap Trills" Album sessions (03/19 - 25/1968).
Notes for side B: 1 & 2 recorded in Austin Texas 1964, 3,4,5 recorded in San Francisco 1964 with Oxtrot Jazz Band. 6 is from a red flexidisc included in the 1972 David Dalton book "JANIS" with 4 titles: 6/1 Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out. 6/2 Saint James Infirmary. 6/3 Walk Right In (recorded at Threadgill's Bar, Austin, Texas). 6/4 Vamp On Time (puttake from "Festival Express").
We are sorry for the poor quality of this rough tape, taken from the original flexidisc but it's a real top rarity, including the only known Janis cover of "St James Infirmary". We hope you'll understand and enjoy. The TAKRL team.
