The Fix consists of two long time collaborators in Baltimore MC Jamil Honesty and legendary Belgian DJ Grazzhoppa. This Is War is their debut album and it calls upon guests like Ill Conscious, Josiah The Gift, Supreme Cerebral and Codenine who all add their own straight forward but hard hitting rhymes. The beats from the Grazzhoppa are top notch, with classic era boom bap, crisp cuts and scratching, dark soul samples and plenty of catchy hooks that hark back to the East Coast sound for the mid-90s. The whole thing added up to one of last year's better hip hop albums.
