MEAT LOAF - Bat Out Of Hell II (UK, VIRGIN VP 2710, 1993) Numbered picture disc LP. Please note disc grading.

Condition: Sleeve: EX-, minor wear. Original, rather patronising, hype sticker on the front. Large old price sticker on the rear. With pic/ lyric insert. Disc: FAIR - Visually the disc looks excellent, showing very little use, but it sticks around the middle of the last song. I tried two styluses, tracking at 1.5g & 1.75g, and both stuck in the same place. I tried a dj cartridge, tracking at 2.5-3g and it played through with a couple of "ticks". I think I identified the cause, a miniscule pressing spot but I needed a magnifier to see it. The old saying that picture discs are more for looking at than playing applies here as someone decided to squeeze a 75 minute album onto one disc, and make it a picture disc. The rest of the album plays fine but with it being so long, the sound level is lower than usual and the quieter parts sound like they've been recorded in an aircraft hanger. So, assume the disc sticks, and if you happen to have a set up which plays through it, then that's a bonus.
