People Without Shoes are a hip-hop pairing who started out in the mid 90s. They have turned out a bunch of respectable albums yet somehow remain rather well kept secrets. Thoughts of An Optimist was their debut back in 1995 on Rage Records and showed early signs of great skill. This mad limited reissue showcase the smooth flows and stylish production across tracks like the low slung 'Mental Maze', jazz tinged trip hop of 'If' and snaking beats and bass of 'Little Shop Of Horrors'. This is a record that deserves its place in the higher echelons of 90s hip -hop.
