Thomas Shucmacher was blown away by the response to the Electric Ballroom Patreon campaign, so he and Caitlin decided to name their new joint EP, 'You Belong Here' in its honour. Schumacher says that the track is "an ode to the irreplaceable feeling of belonging we all miss". It's certainly a sonic shot in the arm, with fizzing, trance-inducing riffs, shimmering chords and droning gated bass dancing atop a pounding techno groove. There's a raw, nasty feel to similarly weighty flipside 'The Past is Over', where restless, alien-sounding synthesizer motifs rise above another blistering beat. We'd describe it as "foreboding".
