Jimmy Ruffin was one of the many jewels in the Motown crown. He had plenty of number ones for the iconic Motor City label and is of course best known for 'What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted,' which reached the UK Top 10 not once but twice. That hit isn't included on this reissue of his Ruff 'N Ready album but there are still plenty of gems. 'Don't You Miss Me A Little Bit Baby' is a raw funk track with plenty of Motown signifiers all lead by his impassioned vocal deliveries, 'Sad & Lonesome Feeling' is hugely powerful and one of many highlights here.
