Regent pulls no punches on this electric new four track 12" for Arts. He races out of the blocks with cantering techno drums on 'Oil Rigger,' which has a rugged synth loop and muffled voices building the tension. 'Light Of Opia' is a chunky, loopy, punchy wall of warm techno sound and 'Nova' then steps out into the cosmos with a more sci-fi melodic edge and emotive vocals to bring the soul. It's the standout of the EP and sure to take a party to new heights before the rugged, macho techno drums return on the dark and glitchy closer, 'Relics.'
