This Lp was released on the 10th July 1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!! This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

 Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen. There are just a few  light and fine marks which do not affect playback.
The sound reproduction is simply superb-wonderfully rich and clear.
I have just listened to the whole album and had a blast! VERY occasional, minimal background noise-All I noticed was 3 light pops at the end of track 1, side 1 and 2 pops at the end of track2, side 2...that really was all...the album sounded great throughout!The run ins and outs are lovely and quiet..
Only ever very carefully played.
 Very nice indeed.

 Lovely and clear.
However, as can be seen in the detailed images there is some central hole wear as well as light spindle marks-noticeable when angled towards the light.
They are the very 1st print labels of this album-with the chubby text.

 Outer text "The Parlophone Co. LTD" (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.

Would still frame incredibly well.

 Solid, mid-sized mono in top right corner. Shiny front cover...With just three or four tiny crescents of spidering as well as a few very small fingers of spidering eminating from the seams to the front laminted cover-INCREDIBLY NICE!!
Still has a gloriously clean card backing with just light discolouration from age-like me ;)
The cornbers just have light rubbing, with the bottom right corner to the front having a small 1cm split-I am being rather critical.
The Garrod and Lofthouse flipbacks are in wonderfully strong condition.
STRONG, UNCRUSHED & LEGIBLE spine.
NO rips or tears!!
Has "Patents pending" to back bottom right corner flipback.
