Written by American author Shirley Jackson, the soundtrack to Netflix's hit horror series by The Newton Brothers is perfectly fitting. The plot centres around the decision to renovate an old house, but soon after work starts the family begin to experience increasing paranormal activity that results in a tragic loss and them fleeing the property. The music features complex ambient orchestral cues, melancholic pianos and haunting, ghostly, gothic references that are brilliantly unsettling but also beautiful.
