OM KALSOUM (real name Umm Kulthum Ebrahim Elbeltagi) an Egyptian singer, songwriter, and actress, born December 30, 1898 in Tamay ez-Zahayra, died February 3, 1975 in Cairo.
She was an internationally famous Egyptian singer, songwriter, and film actress of the 1920s to the 1970s.
She is known as Kawkab al-Sharq “Star of the East”, widely regarded as the greatest Arabic female singer in history.
