Five years before it was reworked for Roisin Murphy's superb 2020 album Roisin Machine (and subsequently for the Crooked Machine remix album), 'Jealousy' appeared in its original form on a Crosstown Rebels 12". Produced, like the subsequent versions, by Crooked Man (Sheffield veteran Richard Barratt AKA DJ Parrot), these two takes are arguably even more impactful and peak-time ready. This white vinyl reissue boasts both of these versions: the A-side 'House Mix', a sleazy, throbbing, organ-sporting disco-house shuffler, and the breathlessly high octane, up-tempo 'Disco Mix'. The latter is our pick of the pair, but both are as good as you'd expect from the dream team of Murphy and Barratt.
